Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety Announces Winner of Arrive Alive Contest
(firmenpresse) - LIBERTY, MO -- (Marketwired) -- 04/30/13 -- The Missouri Coalition for Roadway Safety announced today the winner of the Arrive Alive logo redesign contest. Alexis Zaborac, a senior at Liberty High School, won the logo contest from a field of more than two dozen qualified entries by teens from across the state of Missouri.
The contest was designed to encourage teens to buckle up and to help change their perceptions about seatbelt usage. High school students were encouraged to redesign the Arrive Alive logo and upload the design to the Save MO Lives Facebook page. A winner was selected by MoDOT officials based on creativity and the entry that best illustrated the message of Arrive Alive.
"The contest was created to increase seatbelt usage among teens through awareness, and also to spark creativity among high school students," Kelly Martin of MoDOT said. "It is important to engage students in activities they find interesting, while driving the message of the importance of buckling up at the same time, especially with prom and graduation celebrations just around the corner."
