Jim Steffel to Expand GDCT's Regional Transportation Business and Strengthen Supply Chain Solutions
(firmenpresse) - DALLAS, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 04/26/13 -- Shippers Warehouse is pleased to announce that Jim Steffel has joined Grocery Direct Consolidated Transportation (a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shippers Warehouse, Inc.) as Vice President of Business Development.
In this position, Jim will concentrate his efforts on expanding GDCT's regionally focused asset based transportation solution while working to intensify the creativity and depth of supply chain solutions that bring value to our customers.
Jim has an extensive background in the strategic planning, development and execution of carrier operations throughout his career. His knowledge and experience will contribute tremendously to the future success of GDCT and Shippers Warehouse.
Operating over 4.3 million square feet with 6 facilities in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, 500,000 square feet in Atlanta, Georgia, and 310,000 square ft. in Itasca, Illinois, Shippers Warehouse, Inc. was recently named a "Top 100 3PL Provider" by Inbound Logistics magazine for the year 2012, and was cited as the 93rd largest privately held business (based upon gross revenues) in the Dallas area by The Dallas Business Journal.
Grocery Direct Consolidated Transportation is a wholly owned subsidiary of Shippers Warehouse, Inc. GDCT provides LTL consolidation, truckload, container drayage, and small parcel shipment services for a diverse customer base including a high concentration of CPG (consumer packaged goods) companies.
