Fulton, and other creators, Andre Nakaso and Hans van Leeuwen, kept an active and social lifestyle in mind when developing features for the wristbands. Or a concert goer who can't hear or feel his phone vibrate, but can quickly see when his friends are posting Instagram photos during the night. Users of wristbands may also set their to different programmed light patterns, an automatic sound activation mode, or an artistic interactive mode to light their wristband to music wherever they are.
While the included mobile app is useful on its own, the company is opening up access to Wave for developers. While creating , the founders ran into developers that were looking for a Bluetooth wristband with accelerometers to extend and control their apps. Developers are looking at everything from wrist motion game controllers, color weather alerts for sailors, lost children finders, sports score alerts, to an athlete app where your competitive status glows in color.
The three founders have served in iconic technology roles through extensive experience in Silicon Valley and worldwide design and manufacturing.
