The ROC Oil Cling Pad is 100% recyclable, and ideal for recreational and small scale commercial usage due to its light weight, compact size, easy storage and oil-adsorbing properties. Depending on viscosity, the Pad is able to adsorb up to 200 times its own weight. An excellent carry-on for all sized watercrafts and vehicles it can be used by everyone and may be used for spilled fuels/hydrocarbons during refuelling, transferring and transport. Captured hydrocarbons may be reclaimed as the pad floats on water but does not absorb it. It is also safe to use on animals, minerals and marine life.
Product testing was completed at Fleming College's Centre for Alternative Wastewater Treatment. Funding for this testing was made available by Fleming College through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario's Applied Research and Commercialization initiative. Results show that the ROC Oil Cling Pad™ is able to adsorb 40% to 60% more hydrocarbons than conventional pads.
