Orange County Plastic Surgeon Elected Treasurer of ASAPS
Orange County Plastic Surgeon Dr. Daniel Mills, a Long-Standing Member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, Will Assume the Position of Treasurer for the Organization
(firmenpresse) - LAGUNA BEACH, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/16/13 -- has been elected the new treasurer of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS). The Aesthetic Society, with nearly 2,600 members, is the leading national organization of board-certified plastic surgeons specializing in cosmetic surgery of the face and body. The election of new officers was held on April 14th, during the ASAPS 2013 Annual Meeting in New York, NY and was attended by plastic surgeons from around the world.
Dr. Mills recently finished a one year role as Secretary of ASAPS and says he is excited to bring his years of experience and expertise to the new position while contributing to the organization's mission of education, research, and patient advocacy:

An Aesthetic Society member since 1992, Dr. Mills is in private practice and is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. Additionally, he currently serves as Chair of the Aesthetic Society's Communications Commission, is the Technology Editor of the Aesthetic Surgery Journal (ASJ), and serves on multiple Society committees. Dr. Mills believes that being an active member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery is about giving back to the field of plastic surgery.
While contributing his energies to ASAPS, the also joined the California Society of Plastic Surgeons and ascended to the rank of president in 2008. According to Dr. Mills, ASAPS and CSPS were organizations that were working parallel to each other, and much of his work with the CSPS and its national influence was noted by ASAPS.
Dr. Mills believes that his background in the California Society of Plastic Surgeons and his subsequent experience with legislation and its national reach will serve him well in his new role. He takes seriously his responsibility and ability to influence new laws and regulations regarding breast reconstruction, , and other surgical technology and procedures.
Dr. Daniel Mills is a board-certified plastic surgeon who earned his medical degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine. He has published numerous articles in national and international medical journals and has delivered presentations for a variety of plastic surgery conferences. Dr. Mills has served as the President of the California Society of Plastic Surgeons and is the acting treasurer of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS).
