Social Media Breakfast Calgary #39, 8:30 am - 10:30am, Friday, April 19th, 2013, Boys and Girls Club of Calgary
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/15/13 -- The Calgary Social Media Breakfast (SMBYYC) is pleased to announce Jackie McAtee and Aaron Kroontje as the April SMBYYC speakers:
How to set yourself up for social media success when putting on events, leveraging limited internal resources to create a convincing presence and the challenges of gaining social media traction with a B2B model along with tackling trolls, teams, tone, content, brand, analytics, notifications and why showing up is more than half the battle.
This is the story of one of Calgary's oldest institutions as it shakes off the rust and finds its legs.
Too often we hear about sexy, fun and young organizations rocking the social media sphere. Well, Jackie McAtee, director of member experience and Aaron Kroontje, digital specialist, are just good regular folk like you who happen to work at the Calgary Chamber which does not have a history of being sexy, fun or young.
This 120+ year old not-for-profit, member based business institution started a complete reinvention two years ago anchored by a re-branding process undertaken by Jackie. Since then Jackie and her team have fought to gain a renewed relevance in the business community and leverage social media.
They don't have all the answers but they do have plenty of learnings they will happily share as a result of their efforts to become a Canadian leader in an industry not known for social media prowess and within the business-to-business (B2B) domain.
Post discussion, Jackie and Aaron will answer audience questions in an interactive Q&A.
Seating is limited. Please RSVP at
