(firmenpresse) - CLEVELAND, OH -- (Marketwired) -- 04/11/13 -- LineStream Technologies continues to establish itself as a disruptive force in the motor control industry. With the addition of key team members, the developer of software-based motor control solutions is poised to extend its reach in the semiconductor industry and beyond.

"LineStream is attracting top-flight tech talent from all over the globe," said C.E.O. David Neundorfer. "Our team is determined to drive change in large and growing markets, and we're developing and deploying innovative software products at a pace never before seen in the motor market."

Before joining LineStream as vice president of sales and marketing, Greg Jackson served as president of Pavilion Technologies. Jackson guided the commercialization of Pavilion's advanced control technology, leading to the company's acquisition by Rockwell Automation. "I'm excited by the opportunities in store for LineStream," said Jackson. "The application of our core advanced control technology will provide significant time to market gains and greatly improve operating efficiency for manufacturers and end customers. The biggest opportunities lie in our ability to simplify design processes and embed intelligence in motor-driven products, making electric motors run more efficiently and last longer."

Research and development director Vladan Jevremovic, formerly of Tesla Motors, has been developing breakthroughs in industrial and power electronics for almost 15 years. "LineStream's software-based approach has the potential to disrupt the motor control market," said Jevremovic, who previously designed high performance motor controls for electric vehicles by Tesla, Toyota, and Mercedes-Benz. "We're developing a complete solution for optimizing motor controls in nearly unlimited applications."

In addition to Jackson and Jevremovic, LineStream recently added Sharon Fay as director of product management. Fay brings industrial system know-how from Rockwell Automation and deep product management experience from Flashline, a Cleveland-based start-up acquired by BEA Systems in 2006. LineStream has also hired control research and development engineer Ahmed El-Shaer, software engineer Swaroop Bhushan, and test engineer Girish Yajurvedi, all of whom left leading semiconductor and industrial companies for the opportunity to build platform products that scale across industries. LineStream's advanced control technology -- based on patented advancements made at Cleveland State University -- enables precise control of electric motors. With single-parameter tuning and real-time disturbance rejection, the company's SpinTAC software streamlines the manufacturing process and can reduce energy consumption by as much as 40 percent in a wide range of automated products, from washing machines to medical robots.

"This is an exciting time," said Neundorfer. "We're making game-changing improvements to core technology that has not evolved since the 1960s. LineStream is uniquely positioned to take advantage of the inevitable shift toward easy-to-use, intelligence-based software for embedded motor controls."

LineStream Technologies Inc. is a global leader in motor and motion control technology, pioneering software-based solutions that simplify development and improve performance of automated products. The company received Series A venture funding from Early Stage Partners and Series B funding led by U.S. Venture Partners. .
