The Boston Consulting Group Is Well Positioned to Grow as It Continues to Enter New Markets and Add New Capabilities

The announcement follows a strong performance in 2012, when the firm generated $3.7 billion in worldwide revenue, up 9 percent over the previous year (in constant dollars). At the same time, BCG increased its global consulting staff by 11 percent, to 6,200.

Since 2002, BCG's revenues have more than tripled. In addition, each of the three new offices will bring fresh opportunities.
Montreal is BCG's second office in Canada, after the one in Toronto, which opened in 1993. "This office builds on our strong Canadian client base, coupled with an exciting market with many important companies across many sectors," Lesser says. "Montreal is also an important recruiting location for French-speaking Canada."
Seattle is a natural extension of BCG's West Coast office system, which is rooted in Los Angeles and San Francisco. "Seattle offers a strong platform for developing deeper relationships with a host of current and prospective clients throughout the Pacific Northwest. We're excited to have a more permanent presence in this large and growing market," Lesser says.
Bogotá is BCG's first office in Colombia, which has the third-largest economy in South America. "We have a great reputation in this dynamic region, thanks to our offices in Brazil, Argentina, and Chile," Lesser says. "We look forward to serving a range of new clients."
