2013 High School Grads Invited to Work on Scholarship Applications at VCAD Open House
VCAD to Award Up to $150,000 to 2013 High School Applicants
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/10/13 -- The Visual College of Art and Design (VCAD) of Vancouver is hosting an Open House on April 20, 2013 for all 2013 high school graduates interested in applying for one of the many VCAD scholarships up for grabs this year.
At the Open House, attendees will have the opportunity to work on their scholarship applications and receive direction and feedback from VCAD's talented faculty. The event will take place at VCAD's downtown Vancouver campus and will run from 9:30am to 4:30pm. Check in time is 9:00am sharp.
With more than 50 awards available - including up to one full-tuition scholarship - there are plenty of chances for high school students to earn financial support for their studies.
"These scholarships can help more than 50 high school grads from 2013 get the training they need to become the next generation of designers," said Larry Heinzlmeir, VP of Marketing for VCAD. "The cost of an education shouldn't deter students from pursuing careers they're passionate about, and the Open House is the perfect place for students to put together the best application possible."
Students can either complete and hand in their application at the Open House or can take the time to work on it and submit before the deadline of May 24, 2013. Official rules and regulations can be found at .
The scholarship program is open to high school students who will graduate in 2013. Available awards include up to one full-tuition scholarship, up to four half-tuition scholarships and 50 partial scholarships. Applicants must submit a scholarship application package as well as an application to a VCAD program in Interior Design, Graphic Design, Fashion Design, 3D Modeling Animation Art and Design, Marketing and Merchandising for Fashion, Game Development and Design or Mobile Game Design and Development.
