E Source Launches the Emerging Technology Database
New Tool Allows Utilities and Energy Managers to Stay Current on Developments in Efficiency Technologies
(firmenpresse) - BOULDER, CO -- (Marketwired) -- 04/10/13 -- E Source has launched the new Emerging Technology Database, a web-based repository for the results of more than 600 neutral studies on the efficiency of end-use gas and electric technologies. E Source researchers reviewed hundreds of reports published by technology testers and distilled their findings into this database. The data focus on technologies typically found in the built environment, ranging from lighting to HVAC, motors, and beyond.
This E Source database will help staff of utility demand-side management (DSM) departments craft leading-edge programs around the next generation of technologies and will offer testing entities a one-stop destination to find out which technologies have already been studied, by whom, and with what results. The resource will also be a useful tool for energy managers at large corporations striving to make their facilities more efficient by using the latest and most effective options available.
"There has never been a database of this type and scope before now," says E Source Technology Assessment Service product manager Spencer Sator. "Although there are a few smaller ones available, they're limited by geographic areas or specific technology families. We're excited to be making this information available so utility professionals and energy managers can make better decisions when screening technologies."
Members of the E Source Technology Assessment Service, E Source Energy Managers' Network, and E Source Energy Market Advisory Service can access the database by visiting .
