But jobs were not the only assets brought to Houston by Southeastern Freight Lines. The company also brought with it green technology. Included among this technology is a field of solar panels, which will generate approximately a third of the facility's total power. Additionally, the center uses a 10,000-gallon rainwater collection mechanism, which will help with the conservation of water.
The impetus for a second Houston center stems from the double-digit shipment growth the company has seen in the area, every year for nearly a decade.
