Combined with CEREC, the Sirona 3D scanner is three times as powerful. The images can overlap and integrate together so that the dentist's work is done before the patient even sits in the chair. The key is the creation of a surgical splint, which is only available with the integration of the two technologies.
The surgical splint ensures that the implant is going in the exact right place, depth, size and more. What sweetens the deal is that it eliminates the need to cut open gums. It's less traumatic and less painful for the patient. It provides more accuracy in the implant process and has a faster healing time.
