Mount Pleasant School District Receives Donation
Labhart Miles Celebrates 10th Anniversary by Donating to Special Education Class at Robert Sanders Elementary
(firmenpresse) - SAN JOSE, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/26/13 -- Silicon Valley-based firm Labhart Miles Consulting Group, Inc. presented the Mount Pleasant School District with a $1,000 check in February that was specifically allocated to a special education class at Robert Sanders Elementary School. This donation was the ninth installment of Labhart Miles' $10,000 Charity Initiative, which will run through May 2013. A new charity will be selected to receive a gift each month in honor of the firm's 10th anniversary.
"I am very excited to receive this gift," said Cora Pearson, special education teacher at Robert Sanders Elementary School. "It will help me purchase special books as well as basic necessities for my classroom that I would normally have to pay for on my own. Donations like this help teachers provide the best possible supplies to support students' education."
Cora's class at Robert Sanders is made up of severely handicapped students between the fifth and eighth grade. Their mission is to create an atmosphere of continuous social and academic growth, where personal responsibility, respect and effort are valued in a safe, supportive and motivating environment.
"We're happy that our contribution will benefit the Mount Pleasant School District," said Monika Miles, President of Labhart Miles. "The point of our $10,000 Charity Initiative is to provide assistance to needy organizations in our community."
Labhart Miles will select charities in a variety of fields, from food banks to children's organizations. In addition to non-profits that are near and dear to the principals' hearts, they're helping causes that provide valuable services to the greater community.
Robert Sanders Elementary School is situated in the east foothills of San Jose. There are 19 classes for students from kindergarten through fifth grade. In addition they have four Special Day Classes and a County Office of Education Severely Emotionally Disabled class. Visit .
