Vishay Intertechnology Power MOSFET and Polypropylene Film Capacitor Honored With China Electronic Market Editors' Choice Awards

(NYSE: VSH) today announced that the company's - 20 V p-channel power MOSFET and high-performance metallized DC polypropylene film capacitor have received China Electronic Market (CEM) magazine 2012 Editors' Choice Awards in the categories of "The Most Competitive Power Devices Product in China" and "The Most Competitive Capacitor Product in China," respectively.
Winners of the CEM 2012 Editors' Choice Awards were chosen based on their sales performance in the Chinese market and technological innovation. Vishay's Si7655DN and MKP1848S were selected because of their demonstrated success in the power devices and capacitor categories.
The Vishay Siliconix Si7655DN is the industry's first - 20 V p-channel MOSFET in a 3.3 mm by 3.3 mm package to offer on-resistance of just 4.8 milliohms maximum at a 4.5 V gate drive. With improvements in on-resistance of 17 % or better over the next best competing - 20 V devices, the MOSFET allows designers to achieve lower voltage drops in their circuits and promote more efficient use of power and longer battery run times in portable electronics. The Si7655DN is also the first device to be released in a new version of the PowerPAK® 1212 package, which provides a 28 % slimmer nominal profile of 0.75 mm.
Engineered for DC-link applications, the Vishay Roederstein MKP1848S features a slim design, the industry's broadest CV range from 2 to 100 microfarads, and voltage ratings of 500 VDC, 700 VDC, and 1000 VDC. Providing designers with a number of options for their specific applications, the slim MKP1848S features low profiles of 12 mm, 15 mm, 18 mm, and 24 mm. With a long life of over 100,000 hours at nominal DC voltage and +70 degrees C, the MKP1848S is optimized for inverters, power supplies, solar micro-inverters, on-board chargers (EV/HEV), pumps, and LED drives.
