There are many good reasons to take notice of inspirational fashion designer Belkis Baharcieva and
her young fashion label ZABBARY:
ZABBARY collections intrigue with beautiful feminine cuts, elegant silhouettes and smooth flowing
fabrics. The brand celebrates exciting urban fashion, coupled with environmental awareness and
social responsibility. All items are produced in Germany, and are designed by a young woman who
came as a refugee from a Chechen village to Germany and successfully mastered her diploma in
fashion design.
And yet, this young business boasts another very unique aspect:
ZABBARY is the first German fashion brand for covering Muslim fashion.
"I noticed that there are no modern fashion labels, for me as for millions of other young Muslim
women who follow Muslim requirements. So you face a dilemma: You discover pretty items which
you mustn"t wear because they are too open or too short, or you find covering clothes which you
don"t like to wear because they are old-fashioned, tacky and often of poor quality."
