The entire team at his practice has participated in the event for 10 years running and decided to co-sponsor a booth at the event with their partner medical spa in Redondo Beach, Marcus Medical Spa. With more than 10,000 participating runners this year, Dr. Fulbright says taking the time and energy to sponsor the event was a great success, as it gave him and his team the chance to meet a variety of people from the Redondo Beach community they would not normally get to interact with.
As part of the Health Expo that took place the day before the race and immediately following the race, Dr. Fulbright says the practice's booth had a healthy buzz around it throughout the entire weekend. The practice gave away free exams and spent time discussing a variety of cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry topics, ranging from teeth whitening to orthodontics to .
Now more than a month from the event, Dr. Fulbright says he is starting to see some of the faces he met during the Super Bowl 10K/5K weekend come into his practice: He adds the time spent discussing their oral health is also beneficial because it allows them to hit the ground running and address their dental concerns and goals from the very beginning: "The best part about welcoming these new patients into our practice is that they already feel like long time patients. The race allowed us to begin our relationship on such a high, which directly influences our ability to communicate and determine a common goal concerning their smile and overall health."
