The visitor economy is UKs third largest employer (, Visitor Economy Forum, 2012) supporting over 2 million jobs and English Tourism Week hopes to be an opportunity to promote the value of the industry.
Last year was the first time the Tourism Week ran, and it saw hundreds of tourism businesses put on special events to encourage more visitors, aligning perfectly with the Queen's Jubilee and the year of the London Olympics.

With 35 parks all around the British coast, Haven employs 14,000 team members from the local area and brings tourists to these seaside towns every year, increasing the local economy.
