Sirona Biochem Granted European Patent for New Family of Carbohydrate-Based Compounds

(TSX VENTURE: SBM)(OTCQX: SRBCF)(FRANKFURT: ZSB), announced it has been granted a European patent for a new family of compounds. European patent application no. 09727801.4 has been granted under the patent number 2 280 983. The original patent was filed by Sirona Biochem's subsidiary, TFChem, on April 2, 2009.

Patent 2 280 983 protects a new family of compounds related to Sirona Biochem's SGLT2 inhibitor and skin depigmenting agents.
