Allergy Alert: Undeclared Milk in Certain Jak Brand "Instant Coffee 3 in 1"
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 03/13/13 -- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and Uncle T Food Ltd. are warning people with allergies to milk not to consume the Jak brand Instant Coffee 3 in 1 described below. The affected product may contain milk which is not declared on the label.
The following product, Product of Vietnam, is affected:
This product has been distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario.
There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
Consumption of this product may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to milk.
The importer, Uncle T Ltd., Richmond, British Columbia is voluntarily recalling the affected product from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
