Elementary teacher education in Bulgaria in the 20th century - Danka Todorova

(firmenpresse) - In this work, entitled (elementary school) teacher education in Bulgaria in the 20th Century ", the author deals with the question of how did the elementary teachers training in the 20th Century developed in Bulgaria and had what pedagogical approaches and ideas on teacher training.
At the end of the 19th and early 20th Century spread in Europe and in the U.S. the new reform ideas. Whether they were introduced in Bulgaria and the Bulgarian teacher education has found its own way, the reform ideas remained just an isolated phenomenon, this work tries to discuss.
In the sixth chapter of the Croatian Stjepan Basaricek educator and Herbartianism are discussed as an educational flow. Only in the last 15 years, the historical and pedagogical studies were conducted, which limited the name of Stepan Basaricek mainly to Croatia and Bulgaria. It is necessary to clarify the extent to which his Pedagogy of the Bulgarian teacher training had an effect. As a field of interest here, the translations of the contents are displayed in fourth parts of Paedagogia, where in turn, the influence and impact of the formal stage theory discussed in terms of teacher training. The work reflects the diversity, but also the dangers herbartianischer theory and practice and demonstrates that Herbartianismus in Bulgaria was an educational movement that had on teacher education in Bulgaria until 1944, his action.
