Trustees of Pasadena's Huntington Hospital Named in Lawsuit
(firmenpresse) - LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/07/13 -- A $5 million lawsuit filed on November 13, 2012 against Huntington Hospital by named the following individuals as defendants and Trustees of the Collis P. and Howard Huntington Memorial Hospital Trust:
Harvey Lenkin, Former President and Chief Operating Officer of Public Storage
Lois Matthews
Paul Ouyang
James Rothenberg, Hospital Chairman of the Board & President of Capital World Investors
Jaynie Studenmund, Former President and CEO of eHarmony
The lawsuit outlines issues uncovered during its work on the expansion of Huntington Hospital's emergency care facility, including allegations of financial mismanagement on the part of the hospital and its Trustees, as well as serious health hazards such as black mold in the walls and inadequate protection from radiation in a wall that bordered a nurses' lounge. According to the suit, the original project was bid at $24 million, but cost overruns due to several factors including flawed architectural plans, ran up project costs to $40 million.
Huntington Hospital also has a Board of Directors whose members include Rosemary B. Simmons, Kathleen Good Podley, Lois. S Matthews, Wayne Brandt, Charles F. Sharp, Michelle Quinones Chino, James V. Buese, Jaynie M. Studenmund, Reed S. Gardiner, Allen W. Mathies Jr., K. Edmund Tee, Robert Y. Yu, Ellen Lee, Carmen Puliafito, Armando L. Gonzalez, R. Williams Johnston, Stephen A. Ralph, Steven G. Katz, Paul Ouyang, Louise Bryson, Charles Elachi, Winston E. Gooden, David M. Kirchheimer, Harvey Lenkin and James Rothenberg.
