Digital First Media Names Barbara J. Bennett Chief Financial Officer
(firmenpresse) - NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 03/07/13 -- today named Barbara J. Bennett the Company's Chief Financial Officer. Ms. Bennett will be responsible for financial operations across all Digital First Media properties.
Ms. Bennett, a business executive with over 25 years experience, has been serving as a presidential appointee as Chief Financial Officer for the since 2009 where she was responsible for oversight of the EPA's budget, financial reporting and strategic planning. Additionally, she spearheaded initiatives in technology, innovation, and partnerships.
"Barbara is an exceptional executive and a proven leader. Obviously her financial knowledge and background will be an asset to Digital First Media, but her deep understanding of the media landscape makes her the right person to join our leadership team," said John Paton, Chief Executive Officer of Digital First Media. She is the former Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of . From 1990 to 2007, Ms. Bennett was a key member of the team that built the parent company of the from a single channel into the leading non-fiction media company in the world throughout 170 countries and over one billion subscribers. As CFO, she was responsible for all global financial functions and strategies of the company.
