Michigan-Based Company Adds Six New Franchisees in First Quarter 2013
(firmenpresse) - DETROIT, MI -- (Marketwire) -- 03/05/13 -- Dryer Vent Wizard (DVW), a nationwide franchise headquartered in Farmington Hills, Mich., reports that it has added six new franchisees during the first three months of this year. A member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), DVW specializes in dryer vent repair, replacement, alteration, cleaning and maintenance for residential and commercial clients.
"We're in a niche market that's rapidly expanding," said Terry Reuer, president of DVW which was founded in 2004. "Investing in a franchise like ours is very inviting to entrepreneurs who want to be part of a hands-on business that is very customer focused."
It is estimated that poorly maintained or clogged dryer vents are the leading cause of appliance fires, resulting in more than 15,500 dryer fires every year. These are only the reported cases.
DVW's six new franchisees include Paul and Nancy Beum of Blue Ridge, Virginia; Paul and Maria Domke of Oakland County, Mich.; Nancy and Mark Cunningham of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Jeff and Lori Knudtzon of Reno, Nevada; Ted Kraycik of Pasadena, Maryland; and Christ Makos of St. Louis, Missouri.
These additions bring the total number of franchisees to 62 throughout the United States, serving more than 9,000 communities of all sizes.
"Along with providing cleaning and maintenance services to help prevent dryer fires, our franchisees and technicians spend a great deal of time educating customers and raising public awareness about ways to prevent fires and save energy," added Reuer. "We work very closely with local fire departments, appliance repair shops, and a variety of service and educational non-profit organizations."
