Media Advisory: Governor General to Celebrate Canada's Top Natural Sciences and Engineering Researchers
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/25/13 -- His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, will present a series of Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Awards during a ceremony at Rideau Hall, on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at 5:30 p.m.
On this occasion, His Excellency will deliver a speech on the importance of learning and innovation, and will recognize the work of outstanding and highly promising scientists and engineers who are part of Canada's academic research community.
"Each advance in our learning has a ripple effect on our society and culture," said the Governor General. "Reading over their accomplishments, I am struck by the scope and depth of research being done by these recipients, and by its potential to improve the lives of Canadians and indeed of people the world over."
