Demand for Holiday Homes Grows
(firmenpresse) - HEMEL HEMPSTEAD, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwire) -- 02/25/13 -- Haven has announced a 14% growth in the number of enquiries they are receiving from prospective families looking to purchase a holiday home.
This demand is also reflected in the number of pre-sold tickets to attend The Spring Caravan & Camping Show at the NEC, where pre-show ticket sales for the brand new event peaked at 43,000 tickets and first day attendance was over 12,000 - an encouraging sign for the caravan industry.
Stephen Twiss from Haven said, "Families are recognising that by the seaside is an affordable way of having a holiday retreat as they can purchase a pre-owned caravan starting at just GBP 10,995."
At the show they were able to look at the latest models from Willerby, Swift and ABI. They also experienced a bit of park life. Rockley Park sent one of their therapists to do some hand massages there were Funstars doing face painting and the team were on hand to answer any questions on buying your own holiday home. Elaine Ellis, attending the show on behalf of Haven said, "We've had a lot of couples looking at trading in their touring caravan. Many have grandchildren now and they can see the advantages of all the facilities and kids clubs. It's not just about them it's a place where all the family can get together."
Haven are also proud to announce this week their approval under the new NCC Approved Holiday Park - Holiday Home Ownership scheme giving customers peace of mind when making this all important purchase. A Code of Practice establishes the standard, which is then monitored and policed through the scheme. Before an NCC member Park can achieve 'Approved' status they must undergo a rigorous independent assessment that reviews their operations against the Code.

Site fees vary between GBP 2,950 and GBP 7,500 a year (depending on location) this pays for maintenance, 24 hour security and exclusive park facilities. Owners can offset some or all of these costs by letting their caravan and Haven will manage the letting for them.
The price of holiday homes range from GBP 10,995 to over GBP 100,000, depending on the park and your location on it, the model of holiday home you choose and whether it's new or pre-owned.
