D2 Technologies' vPort 4G+ Software to Provide VoLTE for NVIDIA LTE Modems
Reference Design to Include D2's mCUE® 4G IMS Client Software for RCS
(firmenpresse) - SANTA BARBARA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/25/13 -- , the market leader in embedded IP communications software platforms, today announced its IR.92 VoLTE software will be used to enable carrier-grade Voice- and SMS-over-LTE capability on the Icera family of LTE multimedia data modem chipsets for mobile devices.
The companies also plan to collaborate on a reference design for RCS, Wi-Fi calling and IR.94 video calls that uses vPort 4G+'s advanced API for IMS features in conjunction with D2's mCUE 4G mobile client software running on NVIDIA's mobile application processors.

The NVIDIA® i500 LTE modem delivers lightning-fast web browsing, video streaming and multiplayer gaming to tablets and clamshell devices. It is the second NVIDIA modem to implement 4G LTE in NVIDIA's software defined radio baseband processor. Together with its multimode radio transceiver, the chipset offers 4G LTE at category 4 data rates (up to 150 Mbps) as well as 4G HSPA+, 3G and 2G compatibility.
