AIDC's Documentary Week Makes a Big Splash
Free Outdoor Screenings
(firmenpresse) - ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/22/13 -- Splash Adelaide is a proud supporter of Documentary Week (DocWeek) and for 6 nights, free screenings of DocWeek highlights will take place at Light Square on the lawns of Adelaide College of the Arts from Monday 25 February to Saturday 2 March, 2013. We are delighted to announce 2 of the Splash screenings during DocWeek 'Festival In Adelaide' and 'Camera That Changed The World.'
The community is invited to come along, set up their blanket and picnic on the lawn from 7.30pm for an 8.30pm film commencement. Johnny's Popcorn Delights will also be available to purchase.
DocWeeks first opening night Splash screening is called 'Festival in Adelaide,' and is a priceless account of the preparations and highlights of the 1962 Adelaide Festival of the Arts. Watch highlights from the performances, hear from the directors and staff as they bring it all together, laugh at the antics on the AC Arts lawns. Festival in Adelaide will screen on Monday 25 at 8.30pm.
'Camera That Changed The World' is the next film that will screen on Tuesday 26 February at 8.30pm on the lawns. It is a documentary about the impact hand-held film cameras had on documentary film making in the USA and features our special DocWeek guest D.A. Pennebaker, one of the pioneers of Direct Cinema.
