Direct Trade Costa Rican Coffee Now Brewing at Good Earth

Available for a Limited Time

(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 02/21/13 -- is pleased to announce they are now serving a new Single Estate Feature Coffee, La Cabana, from the San Pablo de Leon Cortes Region of Tarrazu, Costa Rica. This premium, light roast coffee, is available for a limited time at all Good Earth coffeehouses brewed by the cup, French press, and whole bean by the bag.

"We continue to pursue direct trade relationships with farmers to purchase the highest quality coffees with limited quantity and availability," says Gerry Docherty, Chief Operating Officer.

This La Cabana Estate coffee has aromas of honeyed melon and brown sugar with a milk chocolate flavour, a soft, creamy body and clean finish.

Farmer, Javier Meza, grew this 100% Caturra coffee at 5100 feet. Javier won't risk mixing other peoples crops in his facility and takes great care in producing his own coffee at his own Micro Mill. With only 3 people working at this mill and producing a limited 250 sacks of coffee a year (38,000-42,000 lbs / year), he takes great pride in ensuring his coffee is top quality.

Costa Rica was perhaps the first country in the Americas to begin growing coffee and for many years its major export markets were in other South American countries. It is not a widely known fact that Costa Rica is one of the biggest agricultural producers of coffee in the entire world.
