A New Generation of College Students Voice the Future

VOICES competitors will be preparing speeches that discuss their thoughts, ideas and emotions towards the future that awaits them. Organized by students and for students, VOICES 2013 Speech Competition is a Toronto intercollegiate public speaking competition that will include participants from , and . The competition is not only a platform for the new generation of college students to voice their concerns and hopes for the future, but an opportunity for them to get public speaking experience in a public setting. The event is set to take place on March 28, 2013 at , located at 1087 Queen St. West.
"This year, VOICES is focusing on working collectively with all the participating colleges through an interactive , along with a social media campaign that encourages students to share their experiences with public speaking and their thoughts and emotions towards the future," says Anne Stevenson, the chair of the competition.
"As the next generation of college students prepare to enter the workforce, there is no better time than now for them to use their voice," says VOICES project manager Emily Getz. A representative from VOICES is available to meet you for interviews to discuss the competition and the importance of public speaking.
