TUI Education North America Appoints T.J. Donnelly at the Helm of Breakaway Tours
Former owner's return marks new era for Canada's most respected and trusted student travel specialist
(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 02/20/13 -- TUI Travel, a global leader in the student and leisure travel industries, announces it has entered into an agreement that sees the return of T.J. Donnelly to the presidency of Breakaway Tours.
Donnelly, who formerly owned Breakaway Tours, grew it into one of the largest student travel companies in North America, eventually selling the business to TUI Travel in 2005. After the sale, Donnelly became president of the TUI Student Travel Group of companies in Canada during which time he oversaw the acquisition and merger of five North American companies into the TUI Travel portfolio. In 2009 he retired from his role to spend more time with his young family.
