Enjoy a Refreshing Twist on a Classic at Berlin Marriott's Fashion Bar
(firmenpresse) - BERLIN -- (Marketwire) -- 02/19/13 -- Berlin's first is not only celebrating its second anniversary, but also the arrival of new Bar Manager Pablo Enrique Muñoz Hoffmann. The 31-year dedicated Bar Manager has found his place behind the counter of the CATWALK bar at the , where he brings creative ideas, passion and enthusiasm.
The native Mexican can look back on many years of experience working in the area with a number of influential bartenders. Muñoz Hoffmann's last stop was the Breidenbacher Hof in Duesseldorf, and in search of a new challenge the won over Pablo. In addition to his warmth and his creativity, he enchants guests with his Mexican temperament. "To me it is important to honor the guests' wishes and thereby an individual touch to the drinks is attached. In the CATWALK bar I have my own personal catwalk to showcase my drinks," says Muñoz Hoffmann.
After training as an electrical engineer it was quickly apparent that he did not make the right career choice. "I'd rather not change light bulbs or power failure... because I'm not particularly technically gifted. For me, it is developing an exclusive drink of choice," admits the sympathetic Muñoz Hoffmann. Shortly thereafter, Muñoz Hoffmann trained as a bartender and began his career in Amberg, a small Mexican bar. Additional past experience includes Mexico, Spain and The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin.
Clearly visible is Muñoz Hoffmann's other hobby, travelling. Not only relaxing and taking a vacation, but also to explore new recipes. As in the fashion world, and also with drinks -- the classics are not out of fashion. Some of Muñoz Hoffmann's favorites include classic cocktails from the '20s and '30s. His favorite drinks created with Mexican products such as tequila or Mezlac. Muñoz Hoffmann's favorites include: the traditional margarita, the Negroni, or Sazerac. "With the classics, the taste and character of the drinks is especially important. In addition the quality of ingredients, not quantity," says Muñoz Hoffmann. The fashion repertoire that offers for every fashion victim is the perfect drink.
Together with Muñoz Hoffmann's assistant manager, Lynn Stark, the bar has a personal style and character not found at any other Berlin bar. A diverse offering of ingredients gives both Muñoz Hoffmann and Stark the ability to be creative and bring sophistication to cocktail creations.
Guests can enjoy one of Muñoz Hoffmann's creations at the "The Red Taste of Magic" party held every Saturday, starting at 11pm. The party pairs a combination of electronic music accompanied by live rhythms of the violin or the saxophone. In addition, guests will indulge in the Red Carpet, Red drinks and exclusive Red Atmosphere.
