The 2013 NutrAward finalists for best new functional ingredient include: Greenleaf Medical AB's Appethyl; InterHealth's Meratrim; and Probionov's Lcr35 3Biotic Formulation. Finalists in the ingredient category were selected based on scientific merit, efficacy, market potential, safety, innovation and ability to increase market credibility.
The 2013 NutrAward finalists for the best new finished product include: Dole Nutrition Plus' DOLE Nutrition Plus Chia and Fruit Clusters; SweetLeaf Stevia Sweetener's SweetLeaf SugarLeaf; and Nordic Naturals' Nordic Omega-3 Jellies. Finalists in the product category were selected based on product viability, emergence of product category, creative product concept, distinctive health application, unique packaging and matchless marketing.
One winner will be announced in each category at Nutracon's 15th Annual NutrAward reception sponsored by Pharmachem Laboratories, on Wed., March 6 (5-7 p.m.) on the beautiful Sunset Deck of the Hilton Anaheim.
