Scottsdale Dentist Enhances Smiles for Rehabilitated Prisoners
As Rehabilitated Prisoners Prepare to Re-Enter Society, Dr. Todd Mabry Restores Their Self-Confidence by Giving Them a Healthy, Rejuvenated Smile

In addition to being a participant in the American Dental Association's Give Kids a Smile® program that offers dental services to disadvantaged children, Dr. Mabry has recently joined a nonprofit foundation called Beyond Bars.
The overall mission of Beyond Bars is to address the mass incarceration that is prevalent across America. As a dentist, Dr. Mabry's role in the organization is to provide dental work for pre-screened, rehabilitated prisoners so they can regain self-confidence and reacclimate to everyday life.

Dr. Mabry views his service with Beyond Bars as a way to give back to the community of which he and his patients are all a part. The nonprofit organization produces short videos and utilizes social media to develop ideas concerning public safety. By partnering with a variety of professionals and organizations, Beyond Bars hopes to advocate the development of community as a method of reducing widespread incarceration.
In a recent case, Dr. Mabry provided advanced dental work to a woman preparing to reenter the workforce. The woman came to Dr. Mabry with no teeth. After conducting a Cone Beam scan to determine if there was enough pre-existing bone for , Dr. Mabry gave the woman implant-supported dentures.
Dr. Mabry understands the importance of a healthy mouth and the effect of a smile. While a healthy smile can boost a patient's self-confidence, it can also affect how a patient is perceived by the world around them. He also knows that not every patient in need of dental work can afford it.
As a dentist who is committed to providing the patients of his practice with the latest techniques and technology in general and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Mabry sees how much a person's dental health can affect their daily lives.
