So much so that they are partnering with Consumer Debt Counselors to help present a series homebuyer education seminars at the Winter Park Community Center over the next several months.
In additional to a significant financial contribution to the agency, BMO Harris Bank branch manager Greg DeSalvo is taking time out of his weekends to teach the "Thinking Like a Lender" module.
"It is the best interest of both the lender and the potential homebuyer to make sure the buyer understands all that is involved in homeownership," said DeSalvo. "As a HUD-approved agency, Consumer Debt Counselors has a comprehensive program that walks individuals through the entire process."
The certified professionals from Consumer Debt Counselors not only help a consumer determine if homeownership fits their lifestyle, they can also help buyers after they have purchased a home if they need default and foreclosure prevention counseling.
