Irrigated Western Kansas Farmland to Be Offered at Auction
(firmenpresse) - GARDEN CITY, KS -- (Marketwire) -- 02/05/13 -- Approximately 1,750 acres of farmland near Garden City in western Kansas will be offered at auction Tuesday, Feb. 26. will conduct the auction in cooperation with the Lund Company.
The property, located approximately 16 miles from Garden City in Finney County, includes 10 irrigated circles, with more than 1,200 acres under pivots. Also included in the auction are three homes, as well as out buildings and grain storage facilities.
"With the amount of land we're offering, we expect to attract investors as well as local operators. To accommodate the widest possible number of prospective bidders, we will offer the real estate in 18 tracts. Bidders can bid on different combinations of tracts based on their needs. For example, a neighboring operator with equipment to work an additional quarter section or so can bid on just one or two tracts. Someone else may want to bid on the entirety. It will sell in the combination that brings the highest total price for the seller," said R.D. Schrader, president of the auction company.
In addition to the land tracts, additional tracts will include a 3,451-square-foot split level home, a 1,548-square-foot bungalow house, and a 2,288-square-foot ranch style house -- all of which will sell as part of separate tracts.
Mineral rights will be sold separately as two separate tracts. The property has four producing gas wells and two producing oil wells. Detailed information on the mineral rights is available upon request.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. at the Clarion Inn, 1911 East Kansas Avenue, Garden City. Auction personnel will be available to answer questions and guide inspections on Feb. 10, 11 and 25.
