Tix Corporation Dissolves Special Committee
(firmenpresse) - STUDIO CITY, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/25/13 -- Tix Corporation (the "Company") (OTCQX: TIXC), a leading provider of discount ticketing services, today announced that the Special Committee formed in June 2012 to consider the subsequently withdrawn acquisition proposal received from Mitch Francis, the Company's Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer and to analyze strategic alternatives for the Company, has concluded its analysis of strategic alternatives, including soliciting third parties regarding their potential interest in acquiring the Company. Upon the unanimous recommendation of the Special Committee, the Board of Directors dissolved the Special Committee with no action taken as a result of the Special Committee's review. The Board of Directors continues to explore other means to maximize shareholder value.
Tix Corporation (OTCQX: TIXC) provides discount ticketing services. It currently operates ten discount ticket stores in Las Vegas under its Tix4Tonight marquee, which offers up to a 50 percent discount for same-day shows, concerts, attractions and sporting events, as well as discount reservations for dining.
