Recession Provides Backdrop in 'The Merger Mogul'

"The main character, Daniel Tennant, is a top Manhattan merger consultant whose portfolio means more to him than anything -- even love," says Every, an accountant and business trainer who worked for Ernst & Young for 10 years before founding Arise Consulting, a business training and consulting firm.
This cavalier playboy's world is rocked when first the recession challenges his business and threatens his bank account, and then a frightening medical diagnosis prompts life-threatening surgery. In the midst of these crises he meets KT, a woman whose immediate and profound effect on him causes him to begin to see life, love, even business, in new ways.
