North Ohio Heart Begins 2013 Heart Walk Planning
(firmenpresse) - CLEVELAND, OH -- (Marketwire) -- 01/18/13 -- For North Ohio Heart (NOH) and Ohio Medical Group (OMG), there is no winter break in preparing for the 2013 Lorain County Heart Walk! NOH & OMG and their employees are already diligently raising funds for the May 11 event, which supports American Heart Association projects, including pediatric heart and stroke research. []
Just last month, NOH & OMG employees organized a fundraiser at the Vermilion Quaker Steak & Lube to benefit the 2013 Lorain County Heart Walk. North Ohio Heart Site Supervisor Tabitha Cote organized the December 23 fundraiser, which included a cash raffle, pictures with Santa and Mrs. Claus, face painting and basket raffles. Quaker Steak & Lube also donated 10 percent of the day's food sales to the Lorain County Heart Walk.
The fundraiser generated $1,715, bringing NOH & OMG's total raised for the upcoming event to nearly $5,400. At the 2012 Lorain County Heart Walk [], NOH & OMG raised $14,790 of the more than $94,000 total, and the Sandusky NOH office participated in the 2012 Huron County Heart Walk, contributing to the more than $35,000 raised for the American Heart Association.
NOH & OMG are corporate participants and sponsors of the 2013 Lorain County Heart Walk, and Gary Zrimec, CEO at North Ohio Heart, is serving as the 2013 Lorain County Heart Walk Chairperson.
Save the dates for area Heart Walks! The 2013 Lorain County Heart Walk will take place May 11 at Avon Commons, and the 2013 Huron County Heart Walk will take place June 1 at the Veterans Memorial Park.
