TÜV Rheinland selects MBJ Solutions Electroluminescence Inspection System
(PresseBox) - TÜV Rheinland has equipped it's Photovoltaic laboratory - located in Cologne - with a high resolution electroluminescence inspection system from MBJ Solutions. The system SolarModule EL-basic is capable to inspect crystalline solar modules as well as thin film solar modules and is optimized for the use in a laboratory. "The new electroluminescence inspection system from MBJ Solutions represents a very useful additional equipment for our PV lab. The flexibility to handle different module sizes on the inspection system combined with the wide range of software features is a big advantage for our work in the laboratory" stated Dr. Gerhard Mathiak from TÜV Rheinland. TÜV Reinland will use the system for their own R&D activities and the supervision of serial examination on PV modules in the future. "We are happy to have TÜV Rheinland as a new customer. This is a very important reference for MBJ Solutions" explains Dr. Michael Fuß, CEO of MBJ Solutions GmbH.
MBJ Solutions focuses on the development, production and distribution of electroluminescence inspection system for lab or inline implementation in the photovoltaic production process. The electroluminescence technology allows the visualization and detection of defects otherwise not visible by the human eye. These defects are e.g. micro cracks, electrically not active areas or grid failures. Micro cracks can progress over time and lead to a significant loss in module power. Electroluminescence inspection systems from MBJ Solutions are available for all steps in the production process of a solar module.
