Irrigated Oklahoma Panhandle Farmland to Sell in Schrader Auction
(firmenpresse) - GUYMON, OK -- (Marketwire) -- 01/09/13 -- Approximately 3,641 acres of agricultural land in the heart of Oklahoma's Panhandle will sell at auction Monday, Feb. 11, with managing the sale.
The land, located along U.S. Highway 54 between Goodwell and Texhoma, includes approximately 2,060 irrigated acres. The property will be offered in five tracts ranging from 304 acres to 1,217 acres. It is approximately 15 miles from Guymon and 125 miles from Amarillo.
"Given the substantial acreage, we anticipate that there may be interest from neighboring farmers and from investors alike. By offering the property in five tracts, we'll make it possible for bidders to purchase just the land that suits their needs. We could have a single buyer for all the land, five different buyers, or anything in between," said R.D. Schrader, president of the auction company.
"The predominant soils are Gruver Clay Loam and Ulysses Clay Loam, and there are sprinklers on all five tracts. Approximately 3,160 acres -- including all of the tracts to the north of Highway 54 -- are contiguous," said Schrader. The land -- approximately half of which is currently planted in wheat -- is available for immediate possession.
The auction will begin at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 11, at the Texas County Activity Center in Guymon. Schrader representatives will be available for inspections from 9 to 11 a.m. on both Jan. 15 and Jan. 29. Online bidding will be available.
