Bombardier Aerospace Delivers 233 Aircraft and Receives Orders for 481 Aircraft in 2012

(firmenpresse) - MONTREAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 01/08/13 -- Bombardier Aerospace announced today that it delivered 233 aircraft during the 2012 calendar year, compared to 245 aircraft deliveries in the previous fiscal year, the 11-month period ended December 31, 2011. The Company also received orders for 481 aircraft, net of cancellations, compared to 249 orders, net of cancellations, for the previous fiscal year. Bombardier's successful order intake was supported by a number of volume orders for both business and commercial aircraft, including those placed by Delta Air Lines Inc.; NetJets Inc.; Nordic Aviation Capital and PT. Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk; VistaJet and WestJet, and the delivery total is in line with the 235 aircraft delivery guidance for business and commercial aircraft that was provided in March 2012.

Business Aircraft
In calendar year 2012, Bombardier delivered 179 business jets, compared to 163 for the previous 11-month fiscal year ended December 31, 2011. During this same period, the company received 343 net orders for business jets, compared to 191 for the previous fiscal year.
Commercial Aircraft
In calendar year 2012, Bombardier delivered 50 commercial aircraft, compared to 78 for the previous 11-month fiscal year ended December 31, 2011. During this same period, the company received 138 net orders for commercial aircraft, compared to 54 for the previous fiscal year.
