It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Steambrew
Bottles of Steamworks Blitzen Winter Ale are Sliding into a Store Near You
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/20/12 -- 'Tis the season for festive beers, and more specifically the highly anticipated Steamworks 'Blitzen' ale. Starting December 20th, Steamworks Brewing Company will warm the hearts of craft beer lovers across British Columbia with the first ever release of Blitzen Winter Ale in 650ml bottles.
Blitzen, an ode to Belgian Tripel, is a richly brewed winter ale with apple and citrus aromas, a toasted malt character and a creamy finish - enough to make any beer drinker sing with holiday cheer. And, in the season of giving, Blitzen makes a clever stocking stuffer or a perfect offering at your next Christmas party or holiday dinner.
Walter Cosman, President of Steamworks Brewing Company said he is excited to see a seasonal Brewpub favourite in bottles just in time to make an appearance at office parties and holiday gatherings. But for those planning to toast each and every reindeer on Santa's team, Cosman cautions, "Blitzen ale is 9% alcohol, so you should definitely arrange a designated sleigh-driver to get you home safe and sound!"
Aptly named after the lightning fast reindeer, Blitzen's bottle is designed to delight with a holiday-inspired theme. Every bottle depicts the steam-driven reindeer bursting out of Vancouver's Science World, ingeniously reimagined as a steampunk snow globe.
Whether you've been naughty or nice, Steamworks' festive Blitzen Winter Ale is available in B.C. Government Liquor Stores as well as private licensed retail stores starting today, allowing beer aficionados province-wide to put the "happy" in holidays.
About Steamworks Brewing Company:
In 1995, when the team behind Steamworks Brewing Company first took hold of their historic, Gastown brewpub location, it was discovered that the building had a rare steam heating system - a remnant from forward thinkers of a century past. Inspired, Steamworks ventured forth, experimented and created a one-of-a-kind steam generated brewery; the only one in Canada. Since then, beer aficionados have been migrating to Steamworks brewpub for a taste of their unconventional beers. Now, in 2012, with the launch of Steamworks bottled beers, customers can take the brewpub experience home with them.
