Government of Canada Announces Appointment to the Board of Directors of the Canada Foundation for Sustainable Development Technology
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/19/12 -- The Honourable Joe Oliver, Canada's Minister of Natural Resources, today announced the appointment of the Honourable Gary Lunn to the Board of Directors of the Canada Foundation for Sustainable Development Technology (SDTC). Mr. Lunn's appointment is for the duration of one year on a part-time basis.
"The Government of Canada is pleased to announce this appointment to the Board of Directors for Sustainable Development Technology Canada," said Minister Oliver. "His depth of background and experience, including as Minister of Natural Resources, will be invaluable to the promotion and development of innovative science-based technology solutions."
Mr. Lunn held the position of Minister of Natural Resources from 2006 to 2008. He has worked previously in the mining and forestry industries of British Columbia and northern Canada. He practised law prior to entering federal politics, and is a member of the British Columbia Law Society.
SDTC's work is an important part of the Government's commitment to create high-quality jobs for Canadians and promote innovation in Canada's economy.
