CFIA/Allergy Alert: Undeclared Mustard or Soy in Certain Imane Brand Ready-to-Eat Meat Products
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/19/12 -- The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) and 9136-4802 Quebec Inc. (Delices Al-Manar) are warning people with allergies to mustard and soy not to consume the Imane brand RTE meat products described below. The affected products contain mustard or soy which is not declared on the label.
All Best Before dates of the following Imane brand products are affected by this alert:
These products have been distributed in Ontario and Quebec.
There have been no reported reactions associated with the consumption of these products.
Consumption of these products may cause a serious or life-threatening reaction in persons with allergies to mustard or soy.
The manufacturer, 9136-4802 Quebec Inc. (Delices Al-Manar), East-Angus, QC, is voluntarily recalling the affected products from the marketplace. The CFIA is monitoring the effectiveness of the recall.
