25th Removal of "Wanted by the CBSA" Individual
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/14/12 -- The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) announced today the removal of Luis Rodriguez Valdez, whose profile was added to the "Wanted by the CBSA" list on October 12, 2012. Valdez was removed on December 12, 2012 and is the 25th individual from the "Wanted by the CBSA" list to be removed.
Valdez was arrested by members of the West Kelowna RCMP First Nations Policing Service at his residence in West Kelowna, B.C. on December 5. He is inadmissible to Canada for serious criminality for convictions outside of Canada. Valdez was convicted of assault with a deadly weapon and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse in California and served a three-year prison sentence.
To date, as a result of the "Wanted by the CBSA" program, Canadians have assisted in locating 36 individuals in Canada. Additionally, five individuals were located abroad.
Members of the public are reminded that they should not take action to apprehend the individuals listed on the CBSA Web site. Any information on the whereabouts of these wanted individuals should be reported to the CBSA Border Watch Toll-free Line at 1-888-502-9060.
