New Low-power Qseven SOM-3565 for Battery-operated Handheld Applications

Compliant with the latest Qseven R1.2 specification, SOM-3565 offers the benefit of super low power consumption in a form factor that fits in embedded handheld applications and ultra-mobile equipment, as well as passenger information systems, digital signage, control monitors, and industrial/warehouse automation equipment.
Power-saving Solution in a Card-sized Design
With the Intel® Atom(TM) processor N2600, Advantech provides a powerful solution that consumes a mere 6W during heavy loading (including on-board memory and essential peripheral). At 70 x 70 mm, SOM-3565 is an ideal small form factor solution targeting customers requiring vigorous performance from battery-operated applications. While enjoying the benefits of low power consumption, SOM-3565 also offers wide range temperature capability (-40° ~ 85° C), which expands choices for extreme environment requirements.
Comprehensive and Flexible Design in a Qseven Module
SOM-3565 is based on the Atom(TM) dual core mobile CPU platform, which includes HD decode and faster onboard DDR3 memory. Optional SSD function (up to 32GB) is also available to provide better storage flexibility. SOM-3565 supports 3 PCIe x1, LVDS, HDMI, DisplayPort interface, and even Blu-ray via HDMI for an array of choices for graphically demanding applications. It also supports 2 SATAII, 8 USB2.0, LPC, SMBus, I2C Bus, and 8-bit Secure Digital I/O, while built in Giga-bit LAN on board is available for network-intensive applications. If desired, customers can accelerate time-to-value by opting for preassembly of SOM-3565 module and heat spreader.
Supported by Advantech Intelligent Management Utility, iManager 2.0
Advantech iManager, included with SOM-3565, provides a valuable suite of programmable APIs such as multi-level watchdog, hardware monitor, smart fan, brightness control and more; all with user-friendly interfaces. Since this is a built-in solution on chip, iManager ensures that functions operate even if the OS fails, helping enhance system stability and compatibility, and reducing effort on carrier board design and platform migration.
