Legendary Entertainment Alliance LLC Releases Classic Christmas Specials Acquired From Bob Banner Library
(firmenpresse) - SANTA MONICA, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/05/12 -- Just in time for the holiday season Legendary Entertainment Alliance (LEA), a newly launched distribution entity fueled by diverse parent company, Legend Group Studios, , has selected three inaugural holiday classics from LEA's extensive vintage archive of legendary variety content from pioneer TV Producer Bob Banner. Choosing from hours and hours of classic beloved television, LEA is firing up the yuletide cheer with PERRY COMO'S CHRISTMAS AROUND THE WORLD, a 2-hour "greatest hits" DVD extravaganza from Como's classic crooning holiday specials. In addition, LEA has released A CAROL BURNETT CHRISTMAS featuring Carol in hilarious and unforgetable vintage Christmas-themed sketches and songs, marking the first of many future home video releases that will be assembled from over 100 wildly popular and iconic episodes of the Garry Moore Show. And Finally, LEA is proud to present A SPECIAL SESAME STREET CHRISTMAS, the Emmy nominated classic which includes the most star studded Holiday Celebration in Sesame Street history.

"Bob Banner was the quintessential television producer from the Golden Age of Television, creating seminal ground-breaking hit series back to back for over five decades including The Dinah Shore Chevy Show in the 50s, The Garry Moore Show and spin-off Candid Camera in the 60s, The Carol Burnett Show and Solid Gold in the 70s, Country's Top 20 Countdown and Star Search in the 80s, and It's Showtime at the Apollo in the 90s to name a few. "He started in television when television started, and became a legend," added Curtis.
Legendary Entertainment Alliance serves as the vintage classic distribution arm for newly formed Legend Group Studios, founded by four veteran producers who all started their careers in the early 90s while working together at Bob Banner Associates.
The library includes a dozen television movies, several long-running variety series and numerous network specials that suddenly have a new lease on life. "We have huge plans for this library," said Mr. Curtis. "Not only do we plan an aggressive release schedule but we are implementing innovative sales strategies including numerous Direct Response marketing methodologies. Also, the library will also include many exciting Audio CD possibilities, memorabilia merchandising opportunities, and will arguably be the largest independently owned classic ringtone catalog in existence... Before he died last summer, Bob Banner wrote a great book about the famous people he worked with! We believe there is a global audience eager to participate in these Golden Years of American television with some of the best-known and beloved artists of our time. Founded in February 2012, LEA is a distribution label under Legend Group Studios specializing in aggregating, repurposing, repackaging and re-branding vintage classics and is managed by a group of entertainment industry veterans including, Houston Curtis, Chuck Banner, Steve Kaminski and Anup Thakkar.
