America's true pastime is shopping and Black Friday is the Super Bowl, World Series and March Madness rolled into one. The Consumer Electronics Association's annual Black Friday Survey is out; showing early half of all U.S. adults shopped Thanksgiving through Cyber Monday, spending $50 billion on gifts.
Nearly three in four consumers said deals were as good or better than last year. Electronics were big winners Thanksgiving weekend, trailing only clothes as the most popular items purchased with nearly half of those who bought gifts buying tech. In fact, 1 in 10 shoppers bought ONLY tech.
