Media Advisory: Governor General to Present the 2012 Literary Awards
(firmenpresse) - OTTAWA, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 11/27/12 -- His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, accompanied by his wife, Her Excellency Sharon Johnston, will present the 2012 Governor General's Literary Awards during a ceremony at Rideau Hall, on Wednesday, November 28, 2012, at 6 p.m.
His Excellency will honour 14 laureates at the 76th edition of the Governor General's Literary Awards, in the English and French categories of fiction, poetry, drama, non-fiction, children's literature (text and illustration) and translation. About the Governor General's Literary Awards
The Governor General's Literary Awards, administered by the Canada Council for the Arts, are Canada's oldest and most prestigious awards for English- and French-language Canadian literature. In addition to the monetary award, each laureate receives a specially bound copy of the winning book, created by Montreal bookbinder Lise Dubois.
