New York Credit Union Celebrates Thanksgiving With International Students
(firmenpresse) - SUFFERN, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 11/21/12 -- Over 100 individuals including students, faculty, volunteers and community leaders came together to celebrate the 25th annual International Student Thanksgiving Luncheon at Rockland Community College. The event which was sponsored by Palisades Federal Credit Union has been a longstanding tradition at the community college provides RCC's international students an opportunity to learn about American customs and share in Thanksgiving traditions.
The luncheon which took place in RCC's Student Union building was created to help assimilate the international students into the American lifestyle. Being that the majority of the international students will be away from their families this holiday season, the annual event allows them to unite for support and companionship.
"We're delighted to have had the opportunity to welcome and celebrate our customs with Rockland's international students," said Mark Welshoff, President & CEO of Palisades Federal Credit Union. "We congratulate the faculty and administrators at RCC for executing another successful event and continuing to support our Rockland county community." The generously provided funds and volunteers for the holiday event which brought together students from over 20 countries.

The Thanksgiving holiday meal was prepared fresh by students in the College's Hospitality Program using Turkeys donated by the DeCicco Family Markets.
